The ProFuturo Race, the educational innovation project driven by Fundación Telefónica and Fundación La Caixa, celebrated its tenth anniversary yesterday with a record number of participants on the streets of Madrid.
The ProFuturo Race was created in 2016 with a clear goal: running for education.
The official race shirts for both distances have now been revealed: the Movistar Madrid Half Marathon (21.097 km on an RFEA-certified course) and the ProFuturo race (5 km), with registration still open.
The charity run is part of ProFuturo, the international program of Fundación Telefónica and Fundación “la Caixa” that aims to reduce gaps and transform vulnerable environments through educational innovation and technology.
Under the motto #RunnersConCausa, and with the goal of raising awareness about the importance of ensuring quality education in the world’s most vulnerable schools, the 9th ProFuturo Race was held today — a family-friendly and inclusive event for all ages, taking place alongside the Movistar Madrid Half Marathon.
