ProFuturo Run announces the opening of registration for its 2026 edition
The charity race is part of ProFuturo, the international program of Fundación Telefónica and Fundación “la Caixa” that seeks to reduce gaps and transform vulnerable environments through educational innovation and technology.
The ProFuturo Race returns to the Madrid race calendar on March 22, 2026, once again taking place in parallel with the Movistar Madrid Half Marathon and turning the capital of Spain into a great celebration of sport.
The event maintains its iconic 5‑kilometer course through the center of Madrid, passing through Gran Vía, Puerta del Sol and Plaza de Cibeles. In addition, it is complemented by non‑competitive kids’ races that will take place on the afternoon of Saturday, March 21, alongside the Expo, which once again will be located in Distrito Telefónica.
This will be the 10th edition of a charity race promoted by Fundación Telefónica and Fundación “la Caixa”, through their international program ProFuturo, which seeks to reduce gaps and transform vulnerable environments through educational innovation and technology.
The 2025 edition broke participation records with 2,092 people running for the cause. Athletes Abel Antón, Chema Martínez and Lorenzo Albaladejo, considered one of the best athletes with cerebral palsy in the history of Spain, were among the participants.
Registration for the 2026 edition will open next November 1 on the official website www.carrerafundacionprofuturo.com/
